Congratulations Jake!

The nominees for this award were:

Jake Grundey Employability Learner

Jake Grundey

Jake Grundey joined the M&S training programme having not done well in his GCSE exams and was lacking self-esteem and confidence.

The four week training programme is with Copa Training, and is linked to the Prince’s Trust, to help him secure a job in retail. He has developed his communication, team building and work-based knowledge skills and enjoyed the practical aspects of the programme, and even appeared in a TikTok video for M&S!

Working at M&S was something he really wanted to do and shone through his training programme, going above and beyond to complete all tasks given to him.

Lucian Stafford Employability Learner

Lucian Stafford

Lucian Stafford progressed into sixth form to study humanities after completing a Jobs Growth Wales Plus programme and a Level 2 Application of Number qualification.

He began the programme not knowing what they wanted to do but had an interest in woodwork as a hobby or for DIY. He eventually decided to study humanities in the sixth form and is eager to learn and better himself.

Praised by his training officer for his kindness and politeness, Lucian was happy to share his insight and knowledge with his peers.
